JOB PURPOSE
The main purpose of this role is to manage and delivery events for RacingLine, reporting into the Senior Events Accounts Manager.
JOB CONTEXT
RacingLine Events is a small developing company where flexibility is an absolute keynote. JOB ROLE
EVENT MANAGER – RESPONSIBILITIES

Full event management of events passed from the Senior Events Account Manager and where applicable, the Events Director and Commercial Director

Full event management and onsite delivery of events awarded from clients to RacingLine – events ranging from: Vehicle Ride and Drives, Roadshows, Exhibitions, Industry dinners, Conferences – breakfast meetings, half day meetings, full day conferences with an overnight, VIP events e.g. corporate hospitality, dinners in 5* restaurants, hotels, Team building, Customer event support requests

Events range from small through to large scale e.g. 10 – 250 people

Operate events to the standards of both RacingLine and our clients

Be accountable for all elements of the event to client

Onsite attendance to all events where required

Full budget management from start to finish to include reconciliation and invoicing to client

Attend client meetings on own

Confidence in promoting RacingLine services at any time

Where possible, obtain new clients from outside our existing portfolio

Must have a sound destination/ venue knowledge

Managing negative situations, problem solving and escalating where applicable

Proposal writing in full for management team sign off

Pitching of proposal to client without the support of the RacingLine management team

Be the main day to day contact for our key blue chip, automotive clients

Ensure the company’s event deadlines are adhered to at all times

Ensure the signage and merchandise stocks are kept up to date and to a high standard

Keep up to date with new venues, industry information to feedback back to Racingline and their client/s

Have a sound knowledge and understanding of our client’s industry and their competitors

A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the events industry
OBJECTIVES

Ensuring compliance with the Events Manager role at all times

Maintain the existing relationship with existing client relationships

Build, grow and develop new relationships with clients and suppliers

Be a pleasure to deal with at all times – no request, issue, deadline to big or to small; both onsite and offsite

Maintain the 24hr response time to the client

Ensure the team dynamics and relationships are maintained
-
Ensuring the events are delivered to a high standard at all times – where concerns arise these are escalated to the Senior Events Account Manager and then Events Director and Commercial Director where applicable

WORKING CONDITIONS
Your main place of work will be 4 Quatro Park, Tanners Drive, Blakelands, Milton Keynes.
As with all events work, you will be required to travel and work away from home to manage and attend events. A flexible working approach is required.
Your normal hours of work are from 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday with a flexible approach to working evenings and weekends to manage and attend events. You will be expected to work such hours as are necessary to complete the tasks allotted to you.
If requested and authorised some time off in lieu can be taken in recognition of extra days worked at weekends.
SALARY
£30,000.00 (negotiable, based on experience)
